Are you planning to spend your vacation in Bali, Indonesia? One thing disadvantage in going to popular places is that you don’t get to fully enjoy your vacation because the place is too crowded already and you don’t find any privacy anymore. If your ideal vacation is to spend in some remote island just to stay away from the busy way of life and for you to really relax, then perhaps it is time you choose a place where you can still enjoy some kind of privacy but not that remote from the comforts of life that might offer.
One place that you might not heard at all but would just be the right place for you is Lombok Island. Lombok as they fondly called the paradise island of Indonesia is situated in the east of Bali. You will experience the magnificent white sand beaches and its friendly people combined with the best tropical climate that most visitors like.
Indeed there are a lot of activities that you can do around Lombok Island. You can do water activities like, boating, surfing, bamboo rafting, fishing, sailing and scuba diving. You can also do land activities like biking, trekking, rock climbing and even golfing. Name it and they probably got it at Lombok. You can also visit Mount Rinjani National Park where the third largest volcano in Indonesia is found here.
The best time to plan your trip to Lombok is during the months of May to October since their peak season is during July and August so you must plan ahead and make sure you have reservations ahead of time.
Nightlife is never a problem in Lombok either. Its major city Senggigi has lots of local nightlife activities and has various restaurants to choose from. You will get to taste exotic foods and if you want some other cuisines, you will readily find it since most restaurants offers International cuisine. It is indeed a home away from home. Also you can shop and enjoy buying souvenirs to take home that will certainly remind you of your trip to Lombok.
You can also go to a tour to view the local plant life and you might just see a Komodo and other animals in their natural habitat. You will be able to observe them at close range. It would be a nice experience to see pure beauty still untouched and to be able to breathe real fresh air free from all pollution that you experience in a city life.
Visiting the island once might not be enough to see all there is to see in Lombok. You might just decide to even just stay and enjoy the peaceful lulling water which certainly soothes your senses. To relax and get yourself pampered is by far a thing you can’t resist and you certainly get that kind of treatment in Lombok. Whatever your dream vacation is, you can be sure you will find it in this island. You will be surprised at how time flies and when it is time to go, shop for souvenirs that you can bring home or give away to friends and family. Perhaps same time next year you will find yourself on the same place again.
