What is the Best Time to Go for Koh Samui Holidays?

Koh Samui or popularly called Samui only is the third largest island in Thailand. It is fondly called as island of coconut trees, it has an area of about 153.48 square miles and is situated in the Gulf of Thailand 434.96 miles south of Bangkok in the Surat Thani province. It is easy for tourist to hop from one beach to another through the 34.18 miles long ring road in the island.

The best thing when going for Koh Samui holidays is its warm tropical weather which attracts millions of tourist around the world. In fact a lot of tourists who come back to the place often have stayed in Samui Island for good. Most retired foreigners have found their home in this island. No wonder real estate and tourism are the forefront of the local economic community.

Samui climate is divided into three seasons. Dry season is from December to February. Not much rain at this time but a refreshing wind or breeze occurs. Great time for wind and body surfing. The hot season starts March until August. The climate is still dry at this time and is usually sunny and hot. This is a great time to visit the island if you can stand temperatures between 82 – 95 degrees Fahrenheit at daytime. Rainy season starts September to November. For other parts of Thailand it will be rainy days the whole time but with Samui, its still hot and mostly lots of sunny days at this time.

That is why you can enjoy holidays to koh samui anytime of the year. You can enjoy its white sandy beaches in Chaweng and Lamai. It’s the beaches of Samui that gives life to the island. Other location which is much visited by tourist is the Big Buddha, Bophut, Mae Nam and Choeng Mon.

With its growing tourist industry, more and more structures and businesses open in the area. Accommodation is definitely not a problem in Samui. They offer all types of accommodation that caters to the needs of every tourist, from five star hotels to cheap bungalows on the beach.

At the end of the day when the sun sets, people can retreat to their own cottages or may stay up in their favorite bars and enjoy a drink before dinner. Eating time is an enjoyable thing to do in Thailand in general. Locals as well as tourist love to eat especially Thai cuisine. Their delicious dish is mouth watering and best thing of all is it is cheap! You can certainly find a variety of food cuisine to choose from. You won’t even get homesick because for sure you will find your own kind of food here.

Nightlife is definitely active in Samui. Chaweng and Lamai are the bubbliest places for the evening entertainment. They offer various bars and they have big screens and live music to entertain everyone. Indeed Samui is one place that you will enjoy whether day or night. It is no wonder why people keeps on coming back for Koh Samui holidays and others even stays for good. It is indeed a home away from home.
